这日，汤姆在一间爆破组成员实习的房间内拆着模拟炸药，只见，他满头大汗，颤抖着双手，迟迟不敢剪断电线，脑海中浮现着他的爆破组组长父亲贾斯珀生前的一幕幕。
“Tom, you may not be fit for this really, you can go out and take a break.（汤姆，你大概真的不太适合，出去休息一会儿吧。）”这时，一个爆破组的FBI成员伸手握了一下汤姆拿着剪刀的手。
“OK...（好的……）”说着，汤姆放下了工具，走了出去，身体倚靠在墙上，精疲力尽，忽然坐了下来，抬起了头，开口道，“Dad...（爸……）”
与此同时，卢卡斯不知为何又出现在了实验室，此时，他正打量着时光机，忽然伸手去触碰那个把手。
“Wait, Lucas, you should not do that, be careful of the soul absorption!（等一下，卢卡斯，这个不行，当心灵魂摄入！）”一个FBI成员立马夺过了时光机阻止。
“Lucas, don't touch the time machine!（卢卡斯，别动时光机！）”这时，汤姆忽然出现，一把抱过了卢卡斯。
“Hey, Tom, didn't you go to the blasting team to cut the wires?（哎，汤姆，你不是去爆破组剪电线了吗？）”卢卡斯看向汤姆，开口道。
“I'm not fit for that job. It would be best to just work diligently in the lab.（我不适合那份工作，还是老老实实在实验室工作最好。）”说着，汤姆摸了摸卢卡斯的头，走向了那个FBI成员，“Do you need any help?（有什么需要帮忙的吗？）”
“Oh, sure, Tom, please add the reagent drop by drop to each test tube.（哦，有的，汤姆，帮我把试剂每个试管中都滴一遍。）”只见，那个FBI成员推过来了一个装着试管的底座，递给了汤姆一个烧杯，里面还插了一根滴管，“Don't make the mistake to drop too much!（别出错，滴多了。）”
“Oh, okay.（哦，好的。）”汤姆立马伸手去接烧杯，谁料，烧杯又差点落地，汤姆立马去接，手忙脚乱。
“Tom, be careful, this is the new potion I've received!（汤姆，当心一些，刚配的药水！）”看到这儿，那个FBI成员一打汤姆的后背，很是不悦。
“Oh, okay, okay.（哦，好好。）”一阵镇定之后，汤姆开始了试验。
看到这一幕，卢卡斯也无奈万分，只见，他的眼前闪过了一个全息的对话框：“Name: Tom; Morphology: Earthling; Pattern: Pig team member, but harmless（姓名：汤姆；形态：地球人；模式：猪队友，但无害）”
不久，楚浩然、凯瑟琳、露娜从海上回来，来到了首领办公室。
“OK, have you found the place where we need to look for?（好了，我们要找的地方找到了吗？）”首领看着他们，问道。
“Yes, captain, but that place is located on the deep seabed of the Atlantic Ocean, and it's also a relic.（对的，首领，不过那个地方在大西洋的深海海底，还是一座遗迹。）”楚浩然递过了水下拍摄的几张深海遗迹的照片，开口道。
“OK, let me see.（好的，我看看。）”首领伸手接过，仔细端详起来。
“Captain, were you approved Jackson using the time machine this time?（首领，这一次是你批准杰克逊动用时光机的吗？）”凯瑟琳忽然问道。
“Yes, after all, there are some matters I need to consider carefully and take Jackson's advice into account. I should not be too stubborn, just in case something unexpected should happen in the world.（对，毕竟有些事情我也需要细细考虑，采纳一些杰克逊的意见，不能太顽固了，万一天下真的有什么不测呢。）”首领放下了照片，淡淡说道。

忽然，警报器响起！
“What’s wrong?!（怎么回事？！）”楚浩然等人顿时一惊。
“It looks like the battle is coming. Prepare yourself by packing your equipment and weapons, quickly!（看来又要打仗了，去准备一下吧，带上装备和武器，快！）”首领严肃说道。
“Yes, sir.（是，首领。）”楚浩然等人离去。
“Jackson, this is your first battle in this time and space, are you ready?（杰克逊，这是你在这个时空的第一场战斗，你还适应吗？）”凯瑟琳一拍楚浩然的手臂，问道。
“No problem, the equipment is largely the same, I've also been on the battlefield in another time and space, and leading a team isn't the big deal.（没事，装备大同小异而已，在另一个时空我也上过战场，带队不要紧。）”楚浩然淡淡说道。
就这样，楚浩然等人去换了衣服和装备。
